I had some kind of crud during the Christmas holidays and did a telemedicine call. The doc prescribed a Z pac and I thought that would be the end. After 5 days, I was still not doing very well. My wife reminded me we could call as much as we needed so I reluctantly requested another consultation. Both calls came to me in less than 10 minutes even during the holidays. The second doctor had all the records from my first consultation and decided to go with a lower 10-day dose of antibiotics. He said if I wasn’t better to call back by day 7 and they would most likely refer me back to my primary care doctor. My son and I were on our last father/ son vacation in New York City before he was off to his first year of college. Our teenage son woke up experiencing painful pains in his left side late in the evening. After a great vacation in Europe we had one more night in Boston to take in a game at Fenway before returning home.
